Best Places to Watch Fireworks in Columbia, MO on July 4th
The American flags are up on the columns and the town is beginning to fill with patriotic pride! The 4th of July is almost here and downtown Columbia, Missouri will be one of the best places a great fireworks show in Mid-Missouri. Here are the best places to see the downtown show! (and tips on how to get around the downtown traffic)
The fireworks will be launched from the field next to Lucky’s Market and will begin at 9:15 PM. The fireworks will be choreographed to music simulcast on BXR 102.3
Trade in your black and gold for some red, white and blue. With its year round picture perfect backdrop, the columns are a great place to watch the fireworks show. Bring a blanket and some lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy the show. We suggest parking on the MU campus (just double check that the spot isn’t permit enforced 24/7) and walking to the Quad.
This swanky downtown rooftop bar will be perfect for watching your favorite fireworks. With the purchase of a ticket you’ll get food, non-alcoholic beverages, and a great view. Located on Walnut street you’ll have a great view of the downtown show!
You’ll be right next to all of the action. Lucky’s will have food trucks in their parking lot and the fireworks show is scheduled to begin in the grass field next to it at 9:15 PM. Plan on wearing your walking shoes though because parking will be limited.
Flat Branch Park
Take advantage of kid’s activities such as inflatables, 4th of July crafts and more at Flat Branch Park. There will also be food trucks and an entertainment stage with emcees from KOMU 8 and KFRU 1400.
