Spirit of ‘76 has been a fireworks staple for Mid-Missouri since 1987. Started by Columbia native John Bechtold, Spirit of ’76 has grown from a seasonal retail tent to one of the largest wholesalers of consumer fireworks. Despite great success, we have always maintained a local retail operation to service the fireworks needs of Mid-Missouri.
